Join us for an informative program presented by Meg Sayers, L.C.S.W., Exec. Dir. of Kids in Common.
Families confronting issues of divorce including co-parenting, estrangement, and conflict are often confused and frustrated in attempting to find effective therapeutic modalities to assist both children and parents. Dependent upon the identified points of conflict, and the impact of such conflict upon each individual family member, there are options which can assist in reducing acrimony and rebuilding parent-child relationships.
A discussion of therapeutic visitation, parenting skills, co-parenting interventions, and family assessments. Therapeutic visitation will be defined, and discussed, as an option for families, including understanding the protocol and procedures to be followed in intake interviews, visit, and court reports. Support services including parenting skills, co-parenting, and assessment will also be defined and discussed.
Co-sponsored by NCWBA and the Long Island Hispanic Bar Association.
